1. RadixRef integrated into members area
The RadixRef database (vol. 2 of RadixIndex) has finally been integrated into the subscribers-only section. Also, looking at their account history members can check their requested records, anytime.

2. New additions to RadixRef
After the addition in mid-September the number of records in this database reached has 24,000. My plan is to expand this tool regularly, on the 5th and 20th days of each month. Well, one had to wait for this current update, but now it is here. Current acquisitions are two memorial books of regiments battles during WW1 and a book dedicated to the memory of some 4500 Jewish men afflicted in work battallions during WW2. Newly added records are available for free for one month.

3. Common surnames in the 1891 industry directory database
I have prepared pages listing the most frequent surnames in this database. Some 900 names (with spelling alternatives 6000 names) have more then 50 hits, and they have 173,000 records out of this database's 380,000 total. This could be a helpful tool if someone is in doubt about spelling variations, too.

4. Parts of the 1891 industry database to be donated to collections in Hungary
After talks with the Baranya County Archives, the Local History Collection at the Baranya County Library (both in Pecs, Hungary) and the Vas County Archives (Szombathely, Hungary) I have decided to deposit records pertaining to those counties so that researchers could use them. As I am travelling to other places, I will offer this free opportunity to other institutions, too.

5. Lost passwords
We are just like that. We forget passwords. I have created a small utility program that will help people to set up new passwords when the old ones are gone. Just give your email address on the home page, and you will receive the easy instructions how you can help yourself.

6. Coming up on RadixIndex
Well, I have plenty of plans. I am close to completion with entering the book that lists surname changes in Hungary between 1800 and 1893. (For some scanned pages see my Radix site.) When done, I will start adding years from 1894 to 1916. This latter is the year when my sources for this subject end.
Also, hopefully during this November I will be able to launch a search engine covering the placenames in Hungary as of 1913.
As always, check new things out on the RadixIndex website:
