RadixIndex : Hungarian genealogy and local history databases
Welcome to RadixIndex! The purpose of RadixIndex is to provide databases for Hungarian genealogy and local history research.
RadixIndex currently offers more than 2 million records in
8 databases (December 2012).
The number of available records is accumulating - please visit our news page
for details and updates.
Instead of searching surnames our surname index and place index are also at your disposal.
Records in full detail are usually available via paid subscriptions
to our service, however, records with surnames included on the list of most frequent surnames
are freely available to anyone.
You are welcome to visit other sites created and maintained by us: RadixRobot (user name: radixrobot, password: robot1) - a surname search facility fetching results paralel from several databases (beta service), RadixHub - a web directory of family history and local history research sites arranged by localities and featuring the 1877 and 1913 gazetteers of Hungary, RadixForum - message board to discuss surname- and locality-specific research, Austria Hungary.info - an early 1900s gazetteer of the Habsburg Empire, RadixLog - my Hungarian genealogy research blog.
