Welcome to RadixIndex! The purpose of RadixIndex is to provide databases for Hungarian genealogy and local history research. RadixIndex currently offers 1,307,744 records in 7 databases (February 24, 2010).
The number of available records is accumulating: to celebrate our 10 years of service: during the 10 week period between February 20, 2010 and April 20, 2010 we aim at adding at least 100,000 records every week - this way the number of accessible records should reach 2 millions in April. (Please see our news page for details.)
Instead of searching surnames our surname index and place index are also at your disposal.
Records in full detail are usually available via paid subscriptions to our service, however, records containing surnames included on the growing list of most frequent surnames become gradually freely available to anyone.
